ennessee is one of the top retirement destinations in the country — no state income tax on pensions or retirement  withdrawals, lower cost of living than states like California or New York, and in Williamson County specifically,  lower property taxes and strong healthcare access.

I recently worked with a retired couple who saved roughly $50,000 in year one just by changing zip codes — eliminating state income tax, moving to a lower property tax rate, and downsizing into a lower-maintenance home.  That's the kind of math worth running before you even choose a community.

Once the numbers work, Williamson County has real options — all active adult, homeownership communities, not  assisted living:

● Westhaven 55+ / The Astor Club (Franklin) — new construction, resort-style amenities, clubhouse, pools,  pickleball

● Bent Creek (Nolensville) — low-maintenance, single-level living, strong value, small-town feel

● Windsor Park at Fieldstone Farms (Franklin) — established neighborhood near shopping and medical  offices

The right fit depends on your budget and how social you want your day-to-day to be.
